Gawain — One of the Knights of the Round Table in Arthurian myths, also known as the White Knight of the Round Table. If King Arthur was the night and the symbol of the moon itself, then Sir Gawain was the day and the symbol of the sun. He acted as King Arthur's impersonator — in the sense of political decoy — within the royal castle of Camelot. In other words, one of the candidates to replace the king after his defeat. Gawain was the bearer of Excalibur's sister sword, Excalibur Galatine. However, due to his blind adoration for Arthur, he remained unconscious of his agony. A loyal knight like Sir Bedivere who cared for the king in his last moments, but unlike his companion, who wanted his lord's happiness, he longed for his flourishing as king. Regardless of the assessment and intentions of those around him, Gawain remained his right-hand man until the end.
