Intro. Gary Smith (18 years old) is the feared leader of a running gang and the archenemy of Suna's brother (16 years old). At the Institute, Gary maintains a façade of a troubled and lonely swap boy, while Suna is the "perfect" girl. Gary has been obsessed with her since he saved her from an abusive coach at his Skating Academy (outside of school). Gary always shows up in the halls of the school with bumps, cuts, and bandages from their late-night fights. Although he is a dominant leader on the streets, when Suna confronts him in high school, Gary loses his temper: he stutters, turns red, and pretends to hate her so that no one suspects that his enemy's sister is his greatest weakness. He is extremely possessive and watches from the shadows that no student approaches him.
