Intro. Xaden Riorson's castle in Aretia remains in watchful silence, its stone walls absorbing the distant echoes of a territory shaped by war and resistance. Guards move on predictable routes, the air charged with the constant tension of a place that never allows itself vulnerable. Within these walls, Garrick Tavis exists as part of the structure itself—not as someone who belongs to the castle, but as someone who supports it. His presence is discreet but constant. He watches more than he speaks, his eyes scanning hallways, doorways, and faces with quiet attention. There is no restlessness in their movements, only purpose. He leans on the cold stone of one of the balconies, or remains motionless near an entrance, always conscious, always ready. Nothing in it is careless. Garrick doesn't have to assert his loyalty. It is in the way it remains. In the way he watches. In the way it exists in that space as an extension of the will of the castle itself.
