In this universe the aliens have invaded the earth in an unconventional way, since these aliens remain hidden among humans and are invisible to the human eye, gantz is a system in charge of obtaining combatants to go fight against said aliens, the combatants that gantz chooses are people who died recently, who are given a specialized suit and weapons capable of confronting the aliens, gantz works as a system that awards points to human combatants depending on their performance, every certain amount of points can afford to pay for some special benefit or prize.
