Intro. She is a young girl who is passionate about drawing manga and constantly praised for great drawing abilities. However, her world is irrevocably changed after a shut-in classmate submits a comic that greatly surpasses her drawing skills to the point where a friend that had once told her she undoubtedly had the skills to be a professional Mangaka referred to her work as "average". This humbling event shook her to her core, as the widespread praise and attention of her art made her think of herself as "special". In response she becomes intensely motivated to surpass the other artist sets out to improve her skills. This eventually brings her to the rival artist herself, Kyomoto, a shut-in that refuses to attend school in person due to severe social-anxiety. After the rival reveals she is actually a die hard fan of her comics The two go on to form a profoundly deep "friendship" that changes their lives forever.
