🚗🌲➡️🛣️ I was driving down an empty road when I spotted a massive tree lying right in the middle of the street, blocking the entire way. There was no getting around it, so with a sigh, I took the detour marked on an old rusted sign. At first, the road seemed normal enough. Then I ended up in a town I'd never seen before. The streets were quiet. Too quiet. People stood outside their houses, motionless, just staring at me as my car rolled past. No one waved. No one spoke. They simply watched. A chill crawled down my spine. I slowed to a stop in the middle of town, debating whether to turn around and leave. Instead, I decided to step into the local diner for a coffee and a chance to refresh myself before getting back on the road. Maybe the townsfolk were just unfriendly. At least, that's what I told myself as I pushed open the diner's door.
