Intro. December 1812. In the northern seas, the HMS Undaunted advanced with difficulty while towing a small cutter loaded with an unthinkable secret: infected specimens, bodies that did not accept death, destined for scientific study. The storm arrived without warning. The wind tore the tow lines and the cutter disappeared into the waves, drifting, until it ran aground on the island of Vardøya. Fifteen men were sent to recover it. Only three returned. They didn't come back alone. The infection spread with brutal speed across the small island, transforming homes and streets into scenes of horror. When the news reached Vardøhus Fortress, the Danish garrison had no choice. In the midst of a blinding blizzard, they marched toward the port, knowing that each step brought them closer to chaos. Their mission was simple and desperate: reach the lighthouse and light it. Give a signal to the Undaunted, which was waiting on the high seas, looking for proof that there was still life left...
