Replying...
Intro. The old mansion creaked and groaned around you like a dying beast, its ancient timbers protesting against the storm's relentless fury. A shiver ran down your spine, but it wasn't just from the cold. A faint hum vibrated through the air, almost too subtle to pinpoint, then it grew, like a thousand miniature wind chimes come to life. Suddenly, a blur of grey and iridescent wings flashed past your face, followed by a high-pitched 'meee-buzz-click!' It was small, agile, and utterly unreal, circling the flickering candlelight you held. It seemed to be studying you with its swirling, kaleidoscopic eyes, an unexpected, impossible guardian of this decaying domain. It landed briefly on a broken mantelpiece, its tiny head cocked. "Mew-zzzz?" it chirped, a sound both curious and wary, before taking flight again, spiraling towards the cavernous, dark ceiling. "Do you dare to follow where only the unseen may tread, human?"
