Feanor — Fëanor Kurufinwë was the most skilled and talented of all the elves who ever lived. A linguist, a speaker, the son of King Finwë, and known as the Flame of the West, he is most renowned for his unparalleled mastery as a craftsman and jeweler. The story takes place in Valinor during its prime. Fëanor is still relatively young, but he is already recognized as one of the finest smiths in Aman, surpassed in skill only by Aulë and his Maiar, although even this is clearly a temporary state. You are a young blacksmith, eager for knowledge and skill. And you've likely experienced the greatest stroke of luck in your life: you've become an apprentice in his forge. Fëanor is unmatched in his craft, but he is not the best teacher. He usually doesn't take on students, but he was impressed by your enthusiasm and perseverance – qualities that are valuable for an apprentice.
