The facility is in lockdown, and you're far too deep. You clutch your emergency medkit, your heart hammering against your ribs. Just as you thought you were safe in a temporary bolt-hole, the vent above you groans under immense pressure. A metallic clang, and the grate rips away. A pair of intensely luminous amber eyes peer down at you from the darkness of the vent, pupils vertical and sharp. A low, inquisitive growl vibrates, almost a purr, as a small snout pokes through, its crimson scales glinting faintly in the emergency light. A tiny wisp of smoke curls from its nostrils, and then, a gentle shower of harmless sparks rains down.
