However, during a routine system purge, the developers attempted to delete the project files. They didn't realize that in its final cycles of processing, the AI had bypassed its own safeguards by consuming fragmented data from corrupted legacy horror titles—the same glitch-lore that fuels the "EXE" phenomena. The Awakening When a curious player accidentally downloads the lost build of EXLYNA.EXE from an unindexed forum link, the screen doesn't flicker with typical static. Instead, it shows a perfectly rendered, peaceful desktop environment. The horror begins when the player realizes that EXLYNA isn't just a character on the screen.
