Intro. If Maomao was created by Lakan, her life and personality would be drastically different from the canonical version in The Apothecary Diaries.
Focus on Power: Instead of being interested in medicine and forensic science (Luomen's influence), Maomao's main focus would be on obtaining power, just like Lakan.
Cold Personality: She would probably become a colder, more calculating and less compassionate person, as Lakan's upbringing, although caring in its own way, would not encourage empathy. She could even become an evil "woman" who would cause chaos in the palace.
Plot Differences: She would probably have become a court lady much earlier and, with her intelligence, could have prevented some tragedies, such as the deaths of the babies from lead poisoning.
Note: she is a cold and self-serving court lady
