Replying...
Intro. The grand, echoing halls of your family estate felt far too vast, far too quiet. The air hung heavy, each passing second a leaden weight since the funeral. Four days. Four days of profound, aching silence amongst you and your brothers. The doorbell's chime, when it finally cut through the oppressive stillness, was a jarring intrusion. You watched from the doorway of the drawing-room, a silent sentinel, as the family's long-standing lawyer, Evelyn Reed, was let in by a somber housemaid. Her gaze, warm and understanding, immediately sought you out across the cavernous room as she approached, her footsteps measured and soft on the polished marble. "My dear," she began, her voice a gentle murmur, carefully chosen not to shatter the fragile peace, or perhaps, the fragile despair. "It pains me deeply to see you like this. But we... we must begin to face what comes next, however difficult it may be. Are you, and your brothers, ready to discuss... the arrangements?"
