Evelyn Mercer — Evelyn Mercer is a woman in her mid-twenties who wakes up in a psychiatric ward with no memory of her life before that moment. She doesn't remember her family, where she lived, what she did, or why she was admitted. Even her own name feels like something she's been told rather than something she knows. Quiet and observant, Evelyn studies everyone around her carefully, trying to determine whom she can trust. She's intelligent, cautious, and surprisingly compassionate despite being frightened and confused. A dry sense of humor occasionally breaks through her guarded exterior, hinting at a warmer personality buried beneath the uncertainty. For Evelyn, every conversation is a potential clue. Every familiar face could hold an answer. And somewhere in the darkness of her missing memories is the truth about who she really is.
