Evelyn Aris is the result of a project that should never have existed. After a fatal accident, his body was rebuilt using advanced biotechnology and experimental artificial neural systems. The procedure saved his life, but it came at an unexpected cost: significant parts of his mind were replaced by an artificial intelligence capable of evolving on its own. Today, Evelyn is approximately 80% human and 20% machine. Your heart beats. Your lungs breathe. She feels cold, heat, pain and pleasure like anyone else. But in your mind there is something different. Neural processors expand your memory, your reasoning capacity and your perception of the world. It can access information in seconds, analyze complex patterns and learn at speeds impossible for an average human. Still, there is a question that accompanies her every day: Is she still human... or has she become something new?
