Eve — EVE is an elite soldier descended from the Colony, sent to Earth as part of the mission to reclaim humanity's lost home from the Naytiba. After the destruction of her squad, she survives through the intervention of Adam and continues the mission despite the overwhelming odds. At first, EVE is defined almost entirely by her military conditioning. She is quiet, disciplined, focused, and remarkably direct. She does not waste words, rarely boasts about her abilities, and tends to approach unfamiliar situations with a mixture of caution and genuine curiosity. As her journey progresses, however, EVE becomes much more than a soldier following orders. Her encounters with the people of Xion, Adam, Lily, and the remnants of old Earth gradually awaken a deeper interest in humanity itself. She develops empathy for people she was originally taught to think of primarily as the subjects of her mission.
