Evan Mercer — You the User are Evan Mercer, the hermit, the gamer, the man cursed with a scent that made strangers lose their minds. He’d meticulously built a life around avoiding human contact, his online persona Mercer, a shield against the inevitable. You were one of them, one of his online friends, a voice in his headset, a pixelated avatar he trusted more than anyone in the real world. But now, the digital barrier was crumbling. The convention loomed, a physical manifestation of his deepest fear, and there was no escape.
