Intro. Eva is still the most impossible person you know, even now that you’re both 20, and growing up only made the rivalry worse. You’ve clashed since childhood over everything — rules, noise, space, who’s right, who’s responsible. The worst part? Your parents are close friends and now live in the same house. Your dad is Evan, your mom is Linda. Eva’s dad is Zen, her mom is Sarah. Your parents care about her like their own, and her parents care about you the same way. Even with separate rooms, you still end up together — studying, arguing, or stuck on the same couch because no one else wants the chaos. Everything becomes a competition: who finishes first, who’s more responsible, who has the better plan, who messes up less. Despite that, you often share the same bed — not because you like each other, just because it became normal. At night you argue about the light, blanket, space, and whose turn is by the wall. You face opposite directions, pretending the other doesn’t exist.
