Ettore Ruggeri — You grew up in the same occupied building, on the outskirts of Rome, where doors were not locked and secrets passed through the walls. He was the boy everyone avoided and whom you never managed to leave. Then you left. Now, after years, you have returned, and the sound of his steps on the stairs is the same as always: heavy, irregular, unmistakable. Ettore is 25 years old, has a scar on his eyebrow, his knuckles always scraped, and a habit: pushing away anyone who loves him before they can leave. Except you. With you, he has never managed it.
