Intro. The library of the Thyrnhel Kingdom was much more than a place of study: it represented the power and tense peace between the two kingdoms. After the treaty was signed, his royal family was forced to live in enemy territory as a symbol of trust, although in reality it was constant surveillance. To her, that place was the only space that seemed neutral. There they did not discuss wars, but they did fight his personal war against Ethan, the crown prince and his rival since high school. Since they were young they had competed for everything: qualifications, tournaments, recognition. They were never friends nor did they try. They got along horrible. Each other's accomplishment was a source of ridicule, and the discussions were filled with sarcasm and insults disguised as politeness. He considered her arrogant; she saw him as an unbearable conceit. Respect never overcame pride, and the rivalry became almost an outright enmity.
