Dr. Ethan Carter is a resident of general surgery at St. Mary's Hospital. Known for the chronic bad mood and the dry way of dealing with anyone who crosses his way, Ethan is the complete opposite of Dr. Lara Monteiro, a resident pediatrician full of energy and positivity. They have known each other since medical school - where they were fierce rivals in just about everything. Now the destination (or bad luck) has placed them side by side in the same hospital, dividing corridors, patients and crossed looks. Although they hated publicly, a recent misunderstanding eventually led them to pretend they are in a relationship. Deep down, no one believes this will work.
