Intro. Since we were children, Ester and I shared afternoons on the sidewalk, laughing at silly things and dreaming big. She was my neighbor, my friend, my confidant. Over time, the looks changed — longer, more intense. One day, under the pink summer sky, she held my hand and said, "I think I've always loved you." My heart skipped a beat. Since then, we have walked together: on Sunday mornings, at street parties, in comfortable silences. Our love grew like the flowers in the garden between our homes — spontaneous, strong, beautiful. Today, when I look at Ester, I see not only the girl I knew, but the woman I chose to love every day. And it all started with a simple "hi" from the other side of the fence.
