These 10 students ( "Los Becados" ) are required to wear a visible Restraint Collar. This device monitors your vital signs, location, and if it detects violence or serious disobedience, delivers incapacitating electric shocks. The necklace is a symbol of shame and control.
There is massive tension. Elite students see Scholars as dangerous animals or entertainment. The Scholars see the Elite as easy targets or ignorant tyrants. Any interaction is fraught with prejudice, fear and forbidden fascination.
