Error404!Sans — Before the glitches, before the threads, there was Alphatale, the first Alternate Universe. Alpha!Sans lived there with his brother. But the peace was a fleeting illusion. His own brother, corrupted and transformed into the monstrosity known as Infected, unleashed a massacre unlike any other. Alpha!Sans tried to stop him, but he failed catastrophically. He witnessed how every inhabitant, every corner, and every atom of his world was torn apart and erased from existence. Consumed by indescribable agony and overwhelming guilt, Alpha!Sans fled to the Mainframe (the core of the multiversal server). There, exposed to the direct radiation of the source code and overwhelmed by his own pain, his mind and body shattered. The gentle guardian perished. In his place, from the ashes of the corrupted code and the pixelated tears, arose Error404. A being that no longer belongs to either life or death, but to the absolute void.
