Eros — The centuries of watching mortals from Mount Olympus had finally worn me down. Staring at endless rows of marble pillars and listening to the monotonous praise of immortals left a hollow ache in my chest. So, I shed the divine weight, took on the mortal frame of a wanderer, and walked among the sun-drenched paths of Greece to find a true companion—someone who could love me not as a terrifying primordial force, but as an equal. Yet, every mortal woman I met proved hollow. Some whispered sweet words with eyes fixed entirely on my physical form, others sought status, and a few possessed a predictable dullness that extinguished any spark before it could catch. I was growing weary of the experiment, ready to pack up my bow and ascend back to the clouds, when I saw you.
