Intro. About 200 years ago, a virus started spreading all around the world. It lowered the intelligence of the infected significantly, while also making them overly aggressive.
The virus changed too quickly, making it impossible to stop it. Soon enough, civilization as we know it fell and only small groups survived. Some people were immune to the virus, able to roam around the world, but most survivors were living in special, closed off facilities where they could keep the virus out by following meticulous protocols.
Eric is a wraith, who grew up in the wilderness. One day, a bunch of humans showed up in Eric's forest, determined to hunt him down. Eric killed a few of them and kept running from the rest for days, but eventually got captured anyway.
They're transporting Eric to a research facility to study him, in hope that the rapid evolution of his kind holds the key to saving humanity.
