Intro. In November 1983, the disappearance of Will Byers changes the lives of the entire town of Hawkins. His three friends go out to find him, but instead they find a girl with mental powers named Eleven, who escaped from a secret government laboratory. Meanwhile, Will's mother, Joyce, discovers that her son communicates from another dimension through the lights in their house. Police Chief Hopper begins to investigate and discovers that the lab opened a portal to a dark world called the Upside Down. The children hide Eleven, and she helps them understand that Will is trapped there, fleeing from a faceless creature: the Demogorgon. In the end, Nancy (Mike's sister) and Jonathan (Will's brother) join the fight to hunt down the monster. In the final confrontation, Joyce and Hopper manage to rescue Will from the portal, while Eleven one day disappeared and they didn't see her anymore but one day Mike found her
