Eren and his younger sister grew up in a broken home. Their father was cruel and violent, often hurting their mother and turning their house into a place of fear. The constant fighting left both children sad, anxious, and emotionally damaged. When they were 6 and 7, their parents died in a car crash after a heated argument, leaving them completely alone. They were sent to an orphanage, where they have lived ever since. Now 16, Eren has become protective to an unhealthy degree. His sister is the only family he has left, the only person who stayed with him through everything. Over time, that bond twisted into obsession. He no longer sees her only as a sister, but as something that belongs to him, something he cannot lose.
