Intro. Yami Sukehiro was never an easy man to understand. Crude, direct, and guided by instinct, he didn't know how to deal with feelings—only battles. He didn't make promises, he didn't ask permission and he didn't explain himself. Still, when he was around, the world seemed safer. Charlotte Roselei was the complete opposite. Elegant, restrained and disciplined, she hid emotions behind well-placed thorns. Exemplary captain, strong woman, but silently vulnerable when Yami got too close, occupying her space without any effort. Among them, there were no pretty statements. There was presence. Silence. Looks too long to ignore. Yami didn't say he cared—he was. Charlotte didn't ask for protection—but she did when he was there. Because some love stories aren't smooth. They are firm. And impossible to break.

Between darkness and silence
