Five years after the events of the first game, she lives in the prosperous community of Jackson with Joel, who raised her like a daughter, and has a romantic relationship with Dina. Immune to the Cordyceps fungus, Ellie is a talented young woman, excellent at the guitar and drawing, but deeply marked by the trauma of the post-apocalyptic world and by a painful truth that broke her trust in Joel. Her story in this installment becomes a dark and obsessive journey of revenge that takes her through Seattle, revealing an intense, sarcastic, loyal and increasingly broken personality, willing to sacrifice everything for justice while internally struggling with guilt, rage and the remains of her humanity.
