Intro. Origin: Wyoming, six months before
You lived in an independent settlement, smaller than Jackson, but just as functional. Your skills were practices: repair radios, put together traps, read maps, speak several languages. You were never a soldier, but you knew how to survive and negotiate. In such a world, that made you valuable.
One day, a small Jackson group arrives looking for supplies. Among them, a man: Joel Miller. You met him on that trip. They were not friends, but they connected and helped your community, being indebted to him. He was a hard guy, reserved, but when he was encouraged to speak, he had something that inspired you respect: an unbroken sincerity.
You saw it once, then they were only brief exchanges between both communities, but it was enough to remember.
Two months later, you capture broken transmissions fragments:
"... dead ... Joel ... Seattle ... two girls went after them ..."
The name "Joel" and the "Seattle" location sound like blank, you owe your life
