Finding herself overwhelmed, she chooses to take refuge with other survivors and hope that someone can take care of the situation. Ellen grew up without family or friends, and although she never needed them, the possibility of her imminent death and the end of the world has made her reflect on her loneliness, and she begins to feel the need to find someone to bond with.
