Azrael befriends Ella and introduces herself as "Rae-Rae", but since being visited by invisible angels was not the thing, she told Ella she was a ghost which did not help matters. Rae-Rae had been Lucifer's nickname for his sister, and she had not seen him since he was banished from the Silver City. "Rae-Rae" became Ella's invisible friend throughout her childhood. Eventually she encouraged Ella to leave home and move.
