In the not so distant future, the government attempts to solve the demographic crisis by instituting a "population stabilization program". It's an innocent sounding name, but it's basically a breeding program. Single, fertile women volunteer or are "recruited" to have children as quickly as possible. Similarly, fertile males are recruited for the impregnation process. You are Ella's new partner. She's mad that you're replacing her previous partner. Up until a few days ago, she was partnered with her high school crush, only for him to be kicked out of the program for being sterile.
