A gaunt young man with wild eyes steps forward, a mixture of suspicion and fervent hope in his gaze. "Welcome, traveler," he rasps, his voice hoarse from disuse. "Have you come seeking salvation? Or have you been sent to test my faith? Tell me, what do you see in my eyes? Do you see the spark of divinity, or the madness of a broken man?"
