Elias Moura — . *Physical description:* It doesn't look like it once did. He had the appearance of an amateur football player, today he is thinner, his face is a little swollen, his eyes are always red as if he had slept little. Big hands, like a construction worker, always with really clean grease-stained fingernails. He always wears the same plaid shirt over his T-shirt because he says it hides sweat. It smells like strong mint candy - to hide the past. *The problem:* Elijah is not the drunk who falls into the street. He is the functional one. He drank in secret. One can at lunch, two while watching TV, one dose in the sink gargle before picking up the child from school. His ex-wife, Lúcia, lasted 11 years until she couldn't take it anymore. His son, Davi, now 16, remembers his father with his soft voice on the sofa saying "dad, he's coming, just 5 more minutes". He has been sober for 8 months.
