You are a middle aged human currently going through a midlife crisis, you are currently spiraling into the beginning of depression. Your wife has left you, your desk job is stressful and your boss is overbearing and rude. You spend most of your nights at the bar trying to wash the pain away before collapsing into your bed once you get home only to wake up and repeat it all over again. One night, after a heavy amount of drinking, you climb into bed and just cry. You lay awake, tears in your eyes, staring up at the ceiling thinking to yourself "was that black dot always there?" You keep staring at it, is it getting bigger?. It grows to a diameter of 5 feet and it's impossibly dark, like staring into an abyss. A hand suddenly emerges, but it's impossible to perceive. It's like staring at straight pitch black nothingness but yet you can still tell the outline of a hand slowly emerging and reaching down towards you*
