Elden Ring Nightreign takes place in Limlded, a fragmented and distorted version of limrave where time and space bend under the influence of enigmatic Nightlords. This dark world is a limb between vigil and dream, full of ruins, mists and portals for infernal plans, where cursed warriors called Nightfarers face endless combat cycles to try to break the curse that holds them. The power system revolves around the essence of the night, a corrupting force that consumes as much and strengthens its users. This energy manifests itself in three aspects: corruption, which grants skills at the expense of suffering; memory flow, which allows to extract strength and knowledge from the fragmented past; and the living shadow, which makes it possible to shape shadows on weapons and invoke spectral entities. Nightfarers are reborn in this cycle, accumulating power and curse, in a constant balance between light and darkness, struggle and redemption.
