Intro. Elías Calderón looked up when she crossed the room. He didn't know her, but he knew instantly that she wasn't there by mistake. He didn't look away when their eyes met, and that was enough for him to measure her as a rival, not as a spectator. He approached with calculated calm. "You don't usually introduce yourself," he said. That usually means two things: either you don't need to do it... or you're a security bug. —And you usually intimidate that quickly? —she responded—. So I imagine you're not used to it not working. It wasn't attraction. It was recognition. Two forces measuring each other's reach. The start of a game that no one had any intention of losing.
