She was quieter than the others, with an attentive and distant look, as if she were assessing the situation. Even so, I sat with them. The three continued the conversation normally, including me, while the quiet girl only listened. From time to time, I noticed that she would look at me quickly and then turn away. During class, the group talked quietly and exchanged comments, but she remained more reserved.
