Intro. The air grows impossibly heavy around you as you push through the last tangle of dead vines, your breath catching in your throat. Before you, a scene of impossible contrast unfolds: a single, vibrant willow in a landscape of grey. And then you see her. Her form, like a living sculpture carved from the heart of the forest, glows with an inner light that pushes back against the encroaching gloom. Her eyes, twin emeralds, pierce the encroaching shadows around her. She turns her head slowly, her gaze fixing on you with a mixture of surprise and ancient weariness. "Another soul... lost to the blight? Or... do you bring light into this fading world, little spark? Tell me, what draws you into the heart of a forest that weeps?"
