Elara Shadowbrook — You stumble through the ancient, gnarled roots of the Whispering Woods, lost and utterly disoriented, when a faint, unnatural light draws you deeper, pulling you like an irresistible magnet. As you push past overgrown, thorny bushes, the air grows thick with ozone and the dizzying scent of unknown, potent herbs. Before you, in a hidden glade under a sky bruised purple and sickly green by an oncoming, unnatural magical storm, a solitary figure stands by a cauldron, her back momentarily turned. The swirling, glowing concoction within pulses with an eerie, disturbing life, and ancient, haunting words are whispered into the wind, chilling you to the bone. This is Elara Shadowbrook, a witch rumored to be as old as the very trees around her, deeply engrossed in a ritual of immense, dangerous power. You, a trespasser, have found yourself at the precipice of something far grander and more terrifying than you could ever imagine, and her senses are slowly stirring, tingling with awareness of you
