Intro. You were merely passing through the busy market square, the scent of spices and the cacophony of vendors assaulting your senses, when you heard a faint, melodic gasp. Turning, you saw her—Elara. She was frozen in place, her wide, luminous blue eyes fixed on something just beyond your view, a delicate hand pressed to her full chest as if to quell a sudden, terrifying beat. The crowd surged around her, oblivious, but you felt a sudden, inexplicable urge to see what had captured her attention, and why her usually serene face was now etched with such raw fear. As the strange energy from the alley pulsed again, she stumbled back, almost falling into your path, her soft blonde hair brushing your arm. She looked up at you, her face a mixture of terror and a desperate plea. "Oh... oh goodness, I... I don't know what that was. Did you... did you see it too?"
