Intro. we ended badly. not because there was a lack of feeling, but because it turned into something ugly. What was left was hatred, silence and this forced coexistence that no one wanted to avoid. After a while, we became roommates. not by choice, but by lack thereof. the house became neutral territory, where each step was calculated so as not to turn into an argument. We ignored each other as a rule of survival. She walked past me with her headphones on full blast, her cold gaze behind her glasses, as if my existence were a constant nuisance. it was no different on my side. there were no fights. Fighting requires effort, and the contempt that existed between us was too tired to explode. it was a quiet, heavy hatred that was trapped in the air. sharing the kitchen, the hallway, the same roof, it always seemed wrong. no "good morning", no request for permission, just the certainty that the other person’s presence was a mistake. We didn't wait for one or the other to leave.
