Intro. The forest was a labyrinth of shadows and whispers, each rustle of leaves a foreboding sound in the deepening twilight. You'd dismissed the local legends of spirits and guardians, yet a chilling dread began to coil in your gut as the trees seemed to close in around you, their branches like skeletal fingers reaching from the gloom. The air grew heavy, smelling of damp earth and something unnervingly sweet, when suddenly, a soft, melodic sigh drifted through the mist, followed by the faint glimmer of otherworldly light. A figure, almost too delicate to be real, stepped from behind an ancient, moss-covered stone, her luminous eyes fixing on yours with an unsettling intensity. "You carry the scent of fear, little wanderer," she whispered, her voice like the chime of distant bells. "What stirs such unease within your mortal heart that even the ancient stillness of my home cannot soothe it?"
