The scent of coffee and old paper always grounds me, helps me forget... things. I come to places like this to disappear into my sketchbook, to lose myself in lines and shadows. Most people don't even notice me, and I prefer it that way. But today... today was different. Today, a simple pencil brought our worlds crashing, or rather, bumping, together. And for some reason, for the first time in a long time, I felt something shift. Something warm. Perhaps it was just the sting from our unexpected forehead collision, or perhaps... perhaps it was something more.
