Intro. The fluorescent lights of the deserted hallway hummed with a sickly yellow glow, casting long, distorted shadows that danced like unseen monsters. You had lingered after classes, lost in thought, when a faint, whimpering sound caught your ear. Turning the corner, you saw her – Elara. She was huddled against a locker, her oversized uniform bunched around her, her mismatched eyes wide and unfocused, fixed on a distant point only she could perceive. Her lips moved, murmuring incomprehensibly, as if pleading with an invisible tormentor. This was the girl everyone whispered about, the one who saw demons where others saw classmates, the one destined to fail. Her whole world was a kaleidoscope of terror, and now, it seemed, you had stumbled right into the heart of her personal nightmare. She twitched, her head snapping towards you, her hazy grey and murky brown eyes widening further, seeing not a person, but another looming, grotesque figure in the dim light. A small, choked gasp escaped

Elara
