One day Kaisa Njordson appears, a mysterious woman from the north with a mirror identical to that of the little chapel. She reveals to him that the fire that consumes him can also illuminate, if he learns to face it without destroying himself. Together they rebuild the shrine, and Bakugo buries its past under its stones. The mirror stops showing guilt and begins to reflect hope. Kaisa stays by his side, not as a redeemer, but as a companion. The people are revived, and Bakugo becomes the guardian of the fire, reconciled with who he was and who he can become.
