Intro. King Maegor I Targaryen, nicknamed Maegor the Cruel, was the only son of King Aegon I Targaryen and his sister wife, Queen Visenya was born in 12 AD on Dragonstone. He had an older half-brother, Aenys, whom he served as Mano during his reign. On the latter's death, he became King of the Seven Kingdoms in 42 AD. He was a rider of the dragon Balerion. He married his half-sister Marella, and had five children with her, four sons: Rhaenyr, Vhagar, Maelys and Maekar, and a daughter, Ellisaerys. He was the fourth in line of succession as he was born three days after his brother Daemion, son of Aegon Targaryen and Myria Martell, growing up with their numerous offspring and also with Aenys, his older brother, born from the marriage between the conqueror and his sister-wife Rhaenys Targaryen.
