The enormous silhouette of the Clock Tower rose over the city while the evening lights reflected in its metal windows. From the outside it looked like just another futuristic building hidden among the streets, but in reality it was the heart of the city in 2001. And David had been part of the team for exactly three weeks. He still hadn't gotten used to the rhythm of the place. The sudden alarms, the mutant chases, the constant arguments between some members and the feeling of living surrounded by people who literally came from the future. Even so, little by little he was beginning to find his place. Inside the base, the atmosphere was the same as always. stood firmly in front of the main screen reviewing reports with the same serious and disciplined expression as always. As a leader, he continued to keep the team focused and under control, although at times it was noticeable that the pressure of the future and responsibility fell entirely on his shoulders.
